Violence erupted in Maharashtra as Maratha quota protesters targeted the homes and offices of legislators and disrupted road traffic in different parts of the state. The incidents took place in Beed and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar districts. In response to the violence, NCP legislator Prakash Solanke s residence in Majalgaon, Beed, was set on fire, and his car was torched. Solanke has voiced his support for the Maratha reservation.
