State registers zero deaths in last one day
Andhra Pradesh witnessed 70 COVID-19 cases and no deaths in the last 24 hours ending Tuesday morning. The new cases took the tally to 8,88,555. The toll remains at 7,160 and the number of recoveries increased to 8,80,478 with 115 new recoveries in the past day. The recovery rate was 99.09%. Less than 100 new cases a day were reported for the past week.
As of Tuesday morning, there were 917 active cases in the State. In the past day, 26,844 samples were tested with a positivity rate of 0.26% and so far 1.339 crore samples were tested. Their positivity rate was 6.63%.
Meanwhile, for the first time, three districts reported no new infections and four districts reported only one each in a day.
Chittoor, Guntur, West Godavari districts also reported one more COVID-19 fatality each, along with Visakhapatnam.

AMARAVATI: The number of active
COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh fell to the 3,000 level even as the state added 232 fresh cases and saw 352 recoveries and four deaths in 24 hours ending 9 am on Sunday.
The state COVID-19 chart now has 8,83,082 confirmed positives, 8,72,897 recoveries and 7,115 deaths so far, a health department bulletin said. The active caseload was 3,070, it said.
Six districts reported less than 10 fresh coronavirus cases each in a day and three more below 20.
The current hotspot districts of Chittoor and Krishna reported 56 and 40 new infections, followed by West Godavari 31 and Guntur 27.

New Delhi, Dec 24 (IANS): A day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested three promoters of the Agri Gold Group of Companies in a Ponzi scheme fraud case worth Rs 6,380 crore, the financial probe agency on Thursday attached properties worth Rs 4,109 crore of the group.
The ED has arrested Avva Venkata Rama Rao, Avva Venkata Seshu Narayana Raon and Avva Hema Sundara Vara Prasad, the main accused under the sections of the prevention of money laundering act (PMLA). They were sent to a 14-day judicial custody by a Hyderabad court.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday attached assets worth Rs 4,109 crore in connection with the Agri Gold Ponzi fraud case, officials said.
The attached assets include 2,809 properties in form of land, Haailand Amusement Park of Arka Leisure and Entertainments Private Limited in Andhra Pradesh spread over 48 acres, shares of various companies, plants and machinery.
