Opposition parties have announced their protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) if the government enforces it in the state of Guwahati. They have formed a 16-party United Opposition Forum (UOF) Assam and plan to send a memorandum to the President demanding to scrap the CAA. The UOF has also threatened to organize a massive protest and Assam Bandh if the CAA is implemented. They are appealing to all parties, organizations, tribes, and communities to unite against the CAA.
