Hours ahead of meeting the BJP leadership for talks on a possible alliance, Tripura's former royal and Tipra Motha leader Pradyot Manikya Debbarma tweeted this morning that he "has not compromised" and asked his followers to "wait and watch".
Manik Saha took oath for the second time as Tripura Chief Minister today after the BJP clinched a victory in the February 16 Assembly polls. Eight other ministers were sworn in today.
Despite being just two-years-old, the Tipra Motha won 13 seats in Tripura Assembly election. This is the first time that the party led by Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma contested the state polls.
In Meghalaya, the ruling National People's Party (NPP) has won 24 seats and is leading in two seats. Although it may emerge as the single largest party, it will not be able to form the government on its own.
