with. humans have a strong desire to coalesce, particularly during times of stress around crime, clan, race. and whatever our religious preferences are. and politicians have a good way of exploiting that. and if we don t resist it, then we re going to have problems. and, by the way it s not just that us, them dynamic. it s not just around race. i would argue that in the united states, and i suspect in europe as, well that changing gender roles have fueled, it least as much as a backlash from the racial backlash. it s an enormous fear among men and those who, like the traditional structures and hierarchies and patriarchy s get very nervous when you have women suddenly being outspoken. and, again that they should
we are hope people, i. think you can be in this work and not wake up every day hopeful for the future. we get cynical, we despair when we feel as if we are alone. when we re together, then suddenly we say to ourselves, maybe we can figure this out. and climate change is an example of something that, yes, it s not happening as fast as we d like but i constantly remind our young leaders that we ve actually made enormous process. when i came in, during the financial crisis, the entire clean energy industry was about to collapse in the united states. it is now booming. it is these outstanding leaders who are going to then force us to make even faster progress. and have to clean up our mess. as usual. next, i ask president joe biden about the opportunities and the threat of a.i.. what that poses for the world. what is your worst nightmare situation if it is not regulated a.i.?
