As mentioned last week, the next Legion Breakfast will be Saturday, May 4, not the usual Sunday breakfast. And, breakfast will be from 7 to 10 a.m. This is a fundraiser to support a local family. While there is always a suggested donation, please.
Presley Lamm, pastor of First Baptist Church in Fredonia, is one of those 19 members in Post Legion 103, and is a close friend of Fowler. He notes that anyone who lives in the area, or even visits the area, has been impacted by the Legion’s efforts whether it’s immediately realized or not.
Saturday’s visit with Fowler, Keel and other local veterans won’t just be the passing of stories from one generation to another. It could be the spark needed for new members and/or support, and Lamm is hoping people continue to remember the Legion’s efforts not just in Fredonia but all around the country.
