Yogi govt to withdraw riot cases against BJP lawmakers including 2 ministers Agencies December 24, 2020 Lucknow, Dec 24: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to withdraw riot cases against three BJP lawmakers, including two ministers, who were accused in 2013 Muzaffarnagar communal violence. According to the sources in the government, an application seeking the withdrawal of riot-related cases against saffron party MLAs Sangeet Som, cane minister Suresh Rana and Minister of State Kapil Dev Agarwal was filed in the district court in Muzaffarnagar. The application was filed in the court of an additional district judge. The court is yet to hear the application, sources said.

The petition was filed on Saturday to urge the Court to set aside or quash the amendment to regulations to the Postgraduate Ayurveda Surgery by CCIM and declare that the Council does not have the powers to include modern medicine in syllabus, said IMA president DrRajan Sharma.

The central government had allowed PG students of Ayurveda to perform various kinds of general surgery and medical procedures, including orthopaedic, ophthalmology, ENT and dental, by notifying an amendment in a gazette notification the CCIM issued in November.
