The Charles City Council approved its annual contract with Circle K Monday evening. Burlington, IA- Engineers and Contractors may be requesting access to certain properties to conduct final checks on construction impact related to the TIGER project. In a letter to property owners adjacent to Jefferson and Main streets, Assistant City Manager Nick MacGregor says that the contractor, Portzen Construction, and Engineer, Veenstra, and Kimm, will be requesting access to basements to conduct final checks on potential impacts from construction related to TIGER project, which will resume in the spring. They will mostly be looking at walls facing roads or any areas that project under the road. These checks should take less than an hour and will take place starting on January 31st through the end of February. The letter can be viewed here.
