As we look forward to a summer of staycations, here are five good reasons why you don t need to leave the city to reconnect with nature.

Summer is coming – although the recent weather might have you thinking otherwise – and the UK is preparing for its biggest staycation boom in living memory. For many of us, that means we ll be loading up the car in the coming weeks and months and driving pell-mell for the countryside, but you don’t have to leave the city to find green serenity. Dotted around the UK are urban jungles teeming with wildlife, serving bumper helpings of wildflowers and toppled timbers for the kids to stack up into forts.
