Family and loved ones of Robert Douglas Delgado, who was shot and killed by Portland Police officer Zachary DeLong last week, held a vigil in Lents Park, where Delgado died, on Fri., April 23, 2021. A group of more than a hundred people attended, members of which viewed and added to a memorial, wore blue t-shirts memorializing Delgado, and provided food, clothing and other necessities to those in need.The Oregonian

The development confirmed by a source familiar with the arrangement represents a significant departure from the standard approach for Portland police shootings, which are overseen by the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.

As expected, the Oregon attorney general and the Multnomah County district attorney announced Thursday that they will jointly investigate this month’s fatal shooting of Robert Delgado by a Portland police officer in Lents Park.
