Portfolio Holder for Community Safety at BCP Council Councillor May Haines said: “Fly-tipping is an environmental crime and undermines the majority of local residents who want to live and work in a clean and safe environment. “We are committed to tackling the issue and these plans are an ideal opportunity to reduce incidents of fly-tipping whilst remaining cost neutral to the council. “Any enforcement activity is not undertaken lightly or to generate income, but as a necessary driver to keep our area clean – we are committed to leading our communities towards a cleaner, sustainable future that preserves our outstanding environment for generations to come and this will hopefully encourage people to go through the proper channels to dispose of their waste.”
Warwickshire trading standards warn of criminals selling sick and stolen puppies

Warwickshire residents looking for a new pet are being warned about criminals selling stolen and sick puppies.
Warwickshire County Councilâs Trading Standards Service also said that in some cases, to dogs donât even exist,
Warwickshire County Councillor Andy Crump, Portfolio Holder for Community Safety said: âThe popularity of owning a dog has increased since the pandemic began, such that demand for puppies has gone through the roof and prices for many breeds have more than doubled. Unfortunately, this has encouraged criminals to get involved, leading to more puppy thefts and prospective owners paying huge sums for stolen or sick puppies or large deposits for puppies that don t even exist.
RESIDENTS in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are being invited to share their views and help tackle domestic abuse across the conurbation. BCP Council, in partnership with the police, fire service, health and care sectors, have produced a draft Domestic Abuse strategy. The plan outlines the key priorities for the next three years to help victims, survivors and their relatives at the time of crisis. As part of this, the council are looking for views from residents during a consultation period which will last for the next two weeks.
