Senator Jinggoy Estrada on Friday welcomed his acquittal from the plunder charge in relation to the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam, saying it was a vindication of his name.
Senator Jinggoy Estrada arrived at the Sandiganbayan for Friday morning's promulgation of his plunder case in connection with the pork barrel scam, Allan Gatus reported on Dobol B TV.
The Sandiganbayan acquitted businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles and 10 other accused in 16 graft and corruption cases related to the multibillion-peso pork barrel scam, but found her guilty for graft and malversation for other cases, Chino Gaston reported Monday on "24 Oras."
The Sandiganbayan has granted the appeal of a former congressman of Davao del Sur to be placed under probation instead of serving his two-year prison sentence over his conviction in the pork barrel scam.
