The National Trust has ordered all of its volunteers to undergo diversity training as the organisation continues its woke rebrand.
The heritage body is forcing everyone, including rangers who do not work with the public, to carry out the training as they return to work from lockdown.
It has already caused friction among volunteers and led to several resignations, with one slamming the Trust s new political agenda .

The Virginia Company refers collectively to two joint-stock companies chartered under James I on April 10, 1606, the London Company and the Plymouth Company. The London Company founded Jamestown in 1607. The Plymouth Company established the Popham Colony in Maine. It was abandoned and the Plymouth Company became inactive. A successor company eventually established a permanent settlement in 1620 in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

The establishment of the Middle and Southern English Colonies of North America was encouraged by the earlier English settlements of Jamestown Colony of Virginia in the south (founded 1607) and Plymouth Colony and, especially, Massachusetts Bay Colony in the north (founded 1620 and 1630 respectively). These early colonies not only inspired more English to cross the Atlantic to start a new life in North America but, in the Middle Colonies especially, those of other nations.
The colonies of New England grew primarily from the Massachusetts Bay Colony following Plymouth’s success. Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New Hampshire were all developed by religious dissenters from Massachusetts Bay. The regions which would become the Middle Colonies were largely controlled by the Dutch until 1664 while the lands of the future Southern Colonies were inhabited by Native Americans who were displaced as Virginia’s tobac
National Trust members have launched a campaign against the charity s woke agenda as it was today accused of lecturing the public and demonising history.
Restore Trust was established following furious criticism of a report detailing links between 93 of the Trust s properties and historic slavery and colonialism.
The group, described as a forum where members can discuss their concerns about the future of the charity , says visitors should not leave venues feeling their history has been demonised .
They say there has been a relentless diminution of standards at the Trust and have accused the charity of patronising and lecturing the public, according to the Telegraph.

The entire year s schedule of events and observances was canceled.
