Big numbers. You can see police were on hand, but an altercation before the rally even started escalated things fairly quickly. Reporter this is video of philip anderson, one of the organizers of todays free speech rally in San Francisco getting hit in the mouth by a counterprotester. He and another man scrambling to safety over a barricade. It doesnt hurt but ill have to see a dentist. Reporter he flew here and put together this event calling it a free speech rally and protest. One of the targets was twitter who organizers claim are sensoring conservative views. A very small group came out to support anderson. They identify as supporters of President Donald Trump and post their conservative views on social media. But they say violence is not the answer. Anderson and his supporters did take the stage briefly, but as counterprotesters shouted them down, the rally abruptly ended after about 10 minutes. A three speech rally in San Francisco yesterday turned violent. Today in the bays Sergio Quintana was there. Reporter activists wearing red make America Great again hats were able to speak only a few minutes before San Francisco police pulled the plug just before Philip Anderson took the mic, this happened. He was hit in the mouth by someone dressed in black. In a live stream of the event by Andersons Group you can see San Francisco police voice concerns for their safety after he was hit. Do you have an exit strategy . Reporter determined to carry on with his demonstration, anderson, who traveled here from out of state, took the small stage and spoke briefly. It needs to end. Host we are focusing on books written by former first ladies. The first first lady to venture into publishing was known one who recalls her time in the white house 1914 and since then ten other first ladies have published memoirs. We will focus tonight on five women who have served in that position in the last 50 years. First up, Rosalynn Carter who served as first lady from 19771981 and she is the author of five books. In 1984 her bestselling memoir, first lady from plains, was released. Missus carters subsequent books have focused on caregiving and Mental Health care. This is a subject she is championed throughout her life. Now from 2010 here is Rosalynn Carter talking about her book, within our reach ending the Mental Health crisis. Books focusing on Mental Health care now from 2010 Rosalynn Carter ending the Mental Health crisis. [applause] im on book tour this week i get the same questions every time so i thought i would tell you what they were. The first is how did you get involved in Mental Health . Why did you write the books i will tell you how i got involved. I was campaigning for jimmy when he ran the first time and lost the first time we got in late the candidate dropped out in this was 1966 and we didnt have long to campaign so i drove from one town to the next very disorganized campaign. But this was 66 and they are beginning to move people out of the Central State Hospital and into the community but there was no Mental Health service yet. I had so many people say what way your husband do if elected governor . Standing at a gay at 430 in the morning for the shift change a whole bunch of people coming in and going out and passing out brochures. A lady was small and elderly you could tell how tired she wa
