Armed guards for one simple reason. We are tenants of the Oakland Unified School district and as such are Facilities Use Agreement does not allow for us to have Armed Security on campus. Back in uscs board of education cut ties with its designated School Police department. The current Board Members had the Sole Authority to make any changes to security moving forward at the district. The superintendent says bay tech recently got a threat assessment report from an outside security consultant. The school is moving forward with those recommendations to improve security. Meantime, in the north bay, theres growing concern among parents that former Napa County School employee faces child charges. Police arrested. 33 yearold benjamin cas u. S. Over the weekend.
