Paddock Road, Shanklin will be closed from its junction with Salem Road to its junction with Florence Road for Southern Water to repair burst water main. The diversion will affect Salem Road, Pomona Road, Florence Road from today (Thursday), for a maximum period of five days or until the works are complete, whichever is sooner.
Galloway Man Injured in Fiery Crash on Pomona Road
Cops in Galloway say a township resident was seriously injured in a fiery crash on Pomona Road last week.
According to the Galloway Township Police Department, their officers responded to the area of South Pomona Road and Duerer Street around 4:00 last Wednesday afternoon after they received a report about a vehicle that hit a telephone pole and then overturned.
Arriving officers found a 2014 Jeep Cherokee overturned about 15 feet off of the roadway. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 68-year-old James Ewing of Galloway, was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by police as the vehicle caught fire.
