The government of Delhi has identified eight additional pollution hotspots in the city, bringing the total number to 21. The air quality in Delhi has deteriorated to "very poor" levels, attributed to a drop in temperature and wind speed. District collectors have been instructed to conduct field visits to ensure the implementation of pollution control measures.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) serves as a tool for communicating air quality status, with six categories ranging from "good" to "severe" based on ambient pollutant levels and health impacts.
