has and of course who have a lot less money to spend. so he bought himself a quick 5% in the polls. the question is will it be just as easy to buy another 5% and another 5 and on and on and contending for the lead or for a up next, we re going to look at the lack of polling. candidate like bloomberg. it s a little tougher to tell than we used to. you re watching hardball. e used. you re watching hardball and history says that s a losing strategy when his name is missing from all the leader boards in february everybody is going to forget about him. no one has ever tried this strategy with this money before. in a way, the bloomberg campaign may be the most expensive political science experiment. we ll all see how it turns out. thank you for being with us and all in for christ hayes starts right now. tonight on all in. but in my mind i m still 25. with eddie gallagher, you know that story very well. that s why i take osteo bi-flex,
count, very few delegates available relative to super tuesday. california has the most delegates available in the country and they will vote on super tuesday. texas is there as well, massachusetts, so there are states with big metropolitan areas, lots of delegates that are available. and what mike bloomberg has done while he was mayor of the city of new york and since he s been mayor of the city of new york is work with mayors from big cities across the country on things like climate change, gun control. so there are relationships that he s had that he will lean on as he goes forward in this process. history is replete with candidates with a lot of money that don t win because message has to go before money. but he can still be somewhat of a factor even after missing those four states. yeah. it s the world s most political science experiment. that s one way of looking at it. thank you both for joining us. appreciate that. coming up, one number that could determine trump s re-electi
very few delegates available relative, say, to super tuesday. california has the most delegates available in the country, and they will vote on super tuesday. texas is there as well. massachusetts. so there are states with big metropolitan areas, lots of delegates that are available, and what mike bloomberg s done while he was mayor of the city of new york and since he s been mayor of the city of new york is work with mayors from big cities across the country on things like climate change, gun control, so there is a there are relationships that he s had that he will lean on as he goes forward in this process. history is replete with candidates with a lot of money that don t win because message has to go before money. but it s still he can still be somewhat of a factor even after those missing those four states. the world s most expensive political science experiment. basil smikle, phillip elliot, thank you both for joining us. coming up, one number that could determine trump
all the polls. and i m more interested in the state-by-state polls. what are you seeing in terms of trend lines? who has consistently been rising? what is the state of the race with the numbers? so two things that might be in conflict with each other. i ve said to people i think in some ways, this race could be a political science experiment. so look at it this way. no one in the history of the primary process has lost competitive races, contested races in both iowa and new hampshire and then gone on to be the democratic nominee. the exception here is bill clinton 92. iowa for all intents and purposes did not happen that year. so no one has actually lost contested races in both and then gone on to win the nomination. also, not since 1988 has there been a democratic candidate who s won the nomination without getting a majority. often, a very large majority of the african-american vote. well, we see joe biden now in fourth place in iowa. it s margins are slim between the candidates
of the metropolitan area, this cuts both ways. it is an international tech city. they are trying to get the google headquarters there. do you think amazon too. excuse me. amazon. they have google and amazon and they are building big buildings. do you think they want the price of steel to get jacked up by artificial tariffs? no. donald trump could be a fascinating political science experiment if he would ever actually follow through on what he says. because there could be new political coalitions and they didn t even try. he has the the ability the theoretical ability to completely remake red state, blue state, traditional models of politics that have become pretty hard and fast over the last 40 years. he has policies that cut across all of that. and i think this is an example of where if he wants to, he
