We are watching helicopters and airplanes dropping fire retardant. This is about woodside, near wonderlecht park. This is a number of fires that started during last nights lightning storms. Firefighters are battling these flames with an aggressive air attack. Water dropping helicopters and planes have been called in to control the fire which is burning through rugged terrain off highway 35 near Kings Mountain road in the woodside area. Cal fire says this was one of seven wildfires. Likely caused by lightning. Four of them have already been brought end control. The National Weather service says that there were at least 1200 cloudtoground Lightning Strikes around the bay area last night as powerful thunderstorms moved into the region. Screaming.
