Arrested. People were seen running across the tarmac. Police had their guns drawn. This is happening at ft. Lauderdale Hollywood International airport, about three miles southwest of downtown ft. Lauderdale. The shooting took place at baggage claim inside terminal 2. Multiple Law Enforcement sources verify the shooter as Esteban Santiago e. Hes 26. He was born in new jersey but lived in the alaska for a time. Multiple sources say he had a military i. D. On him at the time of the arrest. No motive is known as of yet of the attack. Students here have been robbed at knife point just outside the school, but this time this morning the student was stabbed. The victim is a senior, who friends say regularly drives to school and parks in the nearby neighborhood. This morning as he got out of his car just steps from the school a man approached him and demanded his phone and money. There was a brief exchange of words. A struggle ensued and our victim was stabbed in the leg. Reporter the suspect dropped a knife and fled on foot. The student was able to walk into the school and ask for help. His friends say they were shocked to see their friend as he staggered into the school. Saw him going into an ambulance and theres like blood. Thats all i knew.
