Questions loom as Police Investigate a deadly overnight shooting in a raleigh neighborhood. Good evening i maggie newland. Thank you so much for joining us. Wallet police say and then stood i outside his home. It happened early this morning on single leaf lane in northeast raleigh. 39yearold chad Cameron Coakley is charged with murder. Colin curtis joins us live in the Wake County Detention Center were coakley is being held tonight. Reporter the family of 20 yearold corn thomas is devastated. I spoke with them over the phone and they said last night thomas was at a party with friends and never occurred to his family that he shooting death of 20yearold thomas are scarce. Police and 39yearold coakley fired a blast from the shotgun while he was standing in his garage. The shot hit thomas who was outside coakleys home. Killing him. Multiple calls from the scene give insight into what happened this one coming in at 12 50 from a resident who said he was part of the Neighborhood Watch program
