A few moments ago the Baltimore Mayor stephanie rawlingsblake and her Police Commissioner urging calm. The Police Officer faced charges in the death of freddie gray. He was arrested in april. Officers put him into a police van. Prosecutors said officer porter did not secure gray with a seatbelt in the back of the van. And that porter didnt call for medical assistance when gray asked for it. 25yearold gray suffered a broken neck in the van and later died. The defense maintained that officer porter told his supervisor that gray needed to go to a hospital and witnesses testified he acted as any reasonable officer would.
