Talks between farmer leaders, police over January 26 tractor rally in Delhi inconclusive
According to sources, police officers at the meeting requested the farmers union leaders to hold their tractor rally outside Delhi, citing security reasons on Republic Day.

NEW DELHI: Talks between farmer leaders and police over the proposed January 26 tractor rally in the national capital remained inconclusive on Friday as both sides stuck to their stand with the unions saying it was the government s responsibility to maintain peace.
Tractor Rally: Police Suggest Route Outside National Capital, Farmers Stick to Original Plan
Sources told PTI that police had suggested the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway instead of the Outer Ring Road.

New Delhi: The second round of meeting between the police and farmer unions regarding the proposed January 26 tractor rally remained inconclusive on Thursday. Farmers stuck to their demand of taking out the rally on Delhi’s Outer Ring Road.
Sources said police officers tried to convince the protesting farm unions to hold their tractor rally on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway instead of the Outer Ring Road, but in vain

A similar meeting was held on Wednesday between the union leaders and officers of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana police at Vigyan Bhawan to discuss the route and arrangements of the proposed rally on January 26.
