Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal flags off bike rally Commissioner of Police Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal on Thursday appealed to the public to follow all COVID-19 norms and guidelines.
On Thursday, he flagged off a bike rally of the traffic police to create awareness of the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. He advised the police to spread awareness in the city.
He said people should not delay the test for COVID-19 if they developed any symptoms.

Boxes kept at 4 Armed Reserve Units, including St. Thomas Mount and Pudupet
Commissioner of Police Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal on Wednesday launched complaint/suggestion boxes at four places in the city to redress the grievances of women personnel.
A senior police officer said more than 2,000 women personnel were working in the Armed Reserve Units of the city police.
The boxes had been installed so that they could seek redressal of their grievances quickly or could pass along any suggestion to improve the working conditions of the police force.

Two instances of conservancy staff handing over gold jewellery, found on a street and in a garbage bin, to the police were reported. Their gesture was widely appreciated by many.
A head constable serving in the Chennai police died of COVID-19 on Friday.
D. Karunanidhi, 48, was a head constable attached to the Abiramapuram station. Commissioner of Police Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal and other officers paid tributes to the portrait of the deceased policeman at the Kotturpuram station.
This is the second death in the Chennai police due to COVID-19 in a week. On Monday, Sakthivel, 55, an SI attached to the traffic wing, Elephant Gate police station, died.
