Police in Kano arrest syndicate specialized in stealing sewing machines, textile materials

The Kano Police Command has announced the arrest of four teenagers that specialize in breaking of tailoring shops and stealing of sewing machines and textile materials. Also arrested were those who knew the items were stolen but went ahead to purchase them.
This was made known to newsmen on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna at the police command in Kano.
“While on intelligence-led patrol at Gwale Quarters, Kano, the police arrested one 14 years old Halifa Iliyasu of Gwale Quarters Kano, in possession of one sewing machine suspected to be stolen property.

A jealous housewife identified as Suwaiba Shuaibu, have allegedly killed her husband’s fiancee, Aisha Kabir (17-year-old) in Gimawa Village, Doguwa Local G government area of Kano State few days to their wedding.
The husband, Shahrehu Alhaji Ali and his fiancee, Aisha (all residents of same area) were said to be in a serious relationship for over six years and scheduled to tie the knot on 9th January, 2021 before the ugly incident happened.
It was gathered that the housewife, Suwaiba (second wife) got wind of the planned wedding ceremony and lured the proposed new bride (late Aisha) to an uncompleted building in the neighborhood where she stabbed her to death.
A housewife identified as Suwaiba Shuaibu has allegedly killed her husband’s fiancee, 17-year-old Aisha Kabir in Gimawa Village, Doguwa Local Government Area of Kano State few days to their wedding.
The spokesman, Kano police command, DSP Abdullahion Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the incident in a statement issued early Tuesday, said the deceased was declared missing on January 1st and her corpse was discovered the following day in an uncompleted buildings within her neighbourhood.
Accordig to the statement; “On 02/01/2021, at about 1030hrs, a complaint was received from one Kabiru Jafaru, ‘m,’ of Gimawa Village, Doguwa LGA of Kano State, that the body of his 17-year-old daughter, Aisha Kabir, ‘f,’ who got missing on 01/01/2021 was found in an uncompleted building in their neighborhood.
“The complainant said the victim was suspected to have been stabbed on her neck by her killer(s).

The Kano StatePolice Command has arrested a 50-year-old man identified as Adamu Musa, his son, Sule Mallam and grandson, Isyaku Sule for allegedly hacking their neighbour, who they claimed was a kidnapper, and his 5-year-old daughter to death.
It was gathered that the incident occurred at Gomo Village, Sumaila Local Government Area of Kano state.
The incident was confirmed by the Kano Police Spokesperson, DSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, in a statement issued on Tuesday night, December 22, 2020.
The statement disclosed that Mr Musa, his three sons, two of which are at large, and his grandson invaded Madunkuri settlement in Gomo Village and attacked and killed one 30-year-old Kabiru Ya’u and his daughter Harira Kabiru.
