Kano: Teenage housewife allegedly kills 17-year-old husband’s fiancée

She was accused of stabbing her husband’s 17-year-old fianceé to death.
Shuaibu, who resides at Gimawa village in Doguwa Local Government Area of Kano, faces a count charge of culpable homicide.
NAN reports that the Police arrested the defendant on January 19.
The Prosecutor, Asma’u Ado, told the court that Suwaiba committed the offence on January 1, at Gimawa village, Kano.
Asma’u recalled that on the same date, at about 10:00 pm, Suwaiba called the deceased, Aisha Kabir, of the same address through her phone.
“The defendant deceived and lured the victim into an uncompleted building, situated at Gimawa village, attacked and stabbed her with a sharp knife on her neck and chest.

The incident happened along Ugbolu-Illah road in Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Ali, confirmed the killing to newsmen on Tuesday in Asaba, NAN reports.
He said that the police, however, killed two of the gunmen, but regretted that a stray bullet from the police killed an old woman during the gun battle with the hoodlums.
Ali, who said the two officers were attached to “Operation Delta Safe” of the command, noted that the attackers took away their service rifles after the attack.
“During the attack, the police also killed two of the gunmen, and recovered two pump action guns and some charms from them.
