From june 15th, everyone who visits a hospital in england will have to wear a face covering. All staff working in them will have to wear medical grade masks. The government announced the shift in policy late yesterday at the downing street daily briefing. Now, a group which represents hospital trusts in england claims its being done on the hoof with little notice. We would have liked to have seen a longer period of time to discuss this with the government and for them to consult front line leaders about whats the right way to go on this. The department of health and social care says it will publish more guidance this week to allow hospitals to stock up on masks and plan for the changes.
