ELSMERE, Del. (AP) Police in Delaware are investigating after a 28-year-old woman was found dead inside a cellphone store after an apparent robbery.
Elsmere Police Chief Laura Giles said officers responded to a call for a burglary at a Metro by T-Mobile store and when they arrived Saturday they found the cash drawer empty and the woman s body in the basement, The News Journal reported.
Police said they did not immediately have any suspect information. The victim was not immediately identified because family notification was underway.
A man who lives across the street from the business told the newspaper he saw a man leave the store with a big plastic bag and get into a car. He said the store had been robbed before so he knocked on the door to make sure everyone was OK. When no one answered, he called 911.
