A fastmoving fire, a smoke filled apartment became a deadly combination for one woman in north phoenix this morning. Megan thompson has been following this story all morning. Any idea what caused this . Reporter that is what investigators are trying to figure out if they do tell us the fire doesnt look suspicious but it definitely is tragic. The woman lived inside this apartment complex. You can see damages. The walls, furniture, charred and everything peeling off and the black. The smoke was so severe it was climbing up the balcony wall and making its way to other apartments. Three people forced out of their homes because of the smoke and water damage. The red cross is helping them find a place to stay. This started around 2 am. One neighbor telling us it was the smell that woke him up.
