would actually get along. do not forget this, paul, that one of the other people that we are watching donald trump are a lot of europeans. believe it or not are you so were the protesters. he has got a lot of supporters. there s a lot of europeans that are tired of their elitist politicians. you want something a little different, that is why boris johnson is one of the top pics to potentially replace theresa may. and why he could well get elected to that job. i think what was important was that trump lay some groundwork there too, should johnson be the ultimate pic, for them to potentially get some stuff done should brexit proceed. one thing that was nice to see or hear trump talk about was a trade deal with britain and really throw that out there and say you know, let s get that done. i think these are two guys that could work together in a positive way. paul: you know bill, i think to dan s point americans what the president to lead overseas that
his support he used to say as democrats if we believe government shouldn t be involved in a woman s choice then you take that all the way. you shouldn t be using money for abortions either. that s a position a lot of americans agree with. but under enormous pressure from his progressive left, he abandoned that. i don t think this test bodes well for the 2020 democratic field. paul: alicia? a hit to california which has decided that coffee won t kill you under the state s prop 65 starbucks dunkin donuts other coffee shops were required to post cancer warnings. now they don t have to do that anymore. but the california policy center reported this week that they had cited another cancer warning at chick-fil-a. so apparently your chick-fil-a will cause you cancer. paul: that s a relief on the coffee front, bill, i m telling you. i was in trouble. you? a hit to the chicago tribune
but they want him also to be looking like he has respect. abroad. and so a performance like this, i think the one he had in japan also, i think is something that can help him in terms of the perception because remember, he says he s going to blow up nato, he s going to basically be a marauder to all of this. and if he can reassure people about that, they might be willing to take a risk on him on a second term. actually. i think that the press tends to under appreciate how well the president does in these kind of settings. this time was a little different but poland, some of the speeches have been great. he has risen to the occasion of the venue. record the president doesn t always appreciate that. [laughter] of his own strength. in other words it might be more fun to go to a rally and you know those are important. and there s the campaign coming up but there is a way to speak to all americans this way. i think it is a strength.
that would look at the repeated lies over a year and a half to newspapers and to the press about what they were doing with the russians and trying to gather intent. it s it s any prosecutor would be asking why they were doing this and at some point americans, even those that voted for donald trump will be asking the same too. i mean, the president loves running around saying no collusion, no collusion. maybe he s right. maybe he s wrong. maybe we just have to let this investigation play out to its proper ending, because i know the information that came out yesterday was a bomb shell for everybody. well, yes, going to get to that right now, but imagine last july the president was tweeting about his pardon power, so i m sure mueller s team is just sitting watching these tweets go by, letting the tweets to an extent speak for themselves. we ve been following these lies, drip, drip, drip, but today feels like a fire hose because
fisa is a process. it s a process that is managed with really attentive care by people and these people are nameless, they work extremely hard and the purpose of this process is to protect americans not merely from terrorists but also from government espionage of the sort that happened during the watergate and pre-watergate era that led to the passage of fisa in the first place and when you attack this system, you are attacking the civil liberties protections and the mechanisms that we have for keeping the fbi at bay. to round out this segment, bob costa, what are you looking at today? you re looking at the president trying to get his bearings on infrastructure. he ll be traveling before he
