FRENCHTOWN TWP., Mich. (FOX 2) - Michael Tripp s family is trying to stay strong to honor his memory. Loved ones say Tripp was known as a fiercely loyal friend with an old soul after the 26-year-old was shot to death early Saturday morning.

Monroe County Sheriff s Deputies say the shooting happened at the entrance of the Pleasantville Mobile Home community in Frenchtown Township. He felt everything - to the depths of him - it didn t matter what it was, he felt it. He craved the love for somebody, he craved happiness, said Michelle Whitted, his aunt.
Police are investigating a homicide that happened Saturday at around 3:15 a.m. in the Frenchtown Township based Pleasantville Mobile Home Community on Nadeau Road.

(WXYZ) â The Monroe County Sheriff s Office said a man was shot and killed outside of a mobile home community in Frenchtown Township overnight.
Deputies were on patrol in the area of Nadeau Rd. and I-75 when they heard a gunshot. They searched the area and found a man lying in the intersection of Pleasantville Dr. and George Dr. at the entrance of the Pleasantville Mobile Home Community.
They called for assistance and deputies located a male and woman nearby. They determined the couple was involved in the incident and taken into custody.

MONROE COUNTY, MI A man and woman were arrested early Saturday morning in connection to a homicide that occurred in Frenchtown Township.
Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies were on patrol in the area of I-75 and Nadeau Road around 3:15 a.m. Saturday when they heard a gunshot. Deputies found a male victim lying in the intersection of Pleasantville Drive and George Drive at the entrance of Pleasantville Mobile Home Community.
