white house meeting in december of 2020. flynn along with a crew of trump s lawyers like rudy giuliani and sidney powell, presented an avalanche of baseless claims of election fraud, while the white house lawyers debunked all of them. at that meeting, sydney powell presented trump with a draft executive order that would have directed the military to seize our nation s voting machines. a lot of that plan would have also made sydney powell herself a special counsel, and could have imposed martial law, and require a re-run of the election. obviously, that didn t, and thankfully, in the happening. the mutinous ideas pitched in that oval office meeting did not exist in a vacuum. they were part of a desperate effort by trump s outside legal team to upend the results of the 2020 election. those lawyers would ultimately file and lose more than 60 lawsuits, pushing bogus instances of election fraud. so, it makes sense that the wall street journal today is reporting that special counse
stages. meanwhile, they are busy redacting parts of the affidavit used to search mar-a-lago. the judge saying that there should be at least some portions of the affidavit that can be unsealed. the government must hand over a productive urgent by thursday. trump says, he wants the halting out in the open, at least that is what he is saying publicly. in court, his lawyers did not take a stand one way or the other in the uncertain process. well, trump says this is all about transparency. you have to ask yourself, what does he have to gain? the washington post reports, quote, people who have conferred with trump in recent days said the former president believes that any information made public about the investigation into his handling of classified material will rile his supporters, ultimately benefiting him politically. there you have it. trump once again leading into division, anti government sentiment among his base to secure their support, no matter what happens next. joining

but again, for all of his flaws, you hear trump up there talking about abortion for example, criticizing ron desantis for the six-week ban in the state of florida. even someone like trump who has obviously adopted many extreme positions understands what it takes to win, and understands that you can t disqualify yourself entirely in a general election by taking these extremist positions, by saying things that swing voters and a lot of those districts, that since the republican trifecta of 2016 has gone democrat, well, that s going to continue as long as republicans keep following and this ron desantis playbook. it s even donald trump playbook anymore because trump is rejecting some elements of it! donald trump s playbook, that s so interesting to me because on one hand, he is saying that about desantis. and on the other, he is saying i overturned roe. it just makes no sense. that is the republican primary. eugene, there s not a
