  Outdoor play has always been an important way to get kids moving more, said Marnie Forsberg, Manager of Saskatchewan in motion in a release. It s especially important this year with COVID limiting other opportunities for kids to move. We re seeing real recognition of that in the types of projects communities are putting forward. From March 1-10, registered communities rally residents to log physical activity minutes every day. The community that ends the challenge with the most minutes wins the grand prize. P A residents challenged to get active and help city win $10,000 prize

The City of Prince Albert is urging participation from residents in a 10-day activity challenge with a big potential pay-off. The community that logs the most minutes of physical activity during the 2021 Saskatchewan Blue Cross Go Out & Play Challenge will win $10,000. The competition runs from March 1 to 10. “We need everyone to help us win,” the city said in a media release. “If you walk, ski or toboggan at Little Red River Park, work out at the Alfred Jenkins Field House or Margo Fournier Centre, swim at the Frank J. Dunn Pool, walk on the Rotary Trail or [do] any physical activity from March 1 to 10 we need you to register and record your minutes of activity daily.”
