PLATTSBURGH — A potential major incident was avoided Tuesday morning as area police stopped a Plattsburgh man heavily armed and headed for his former employer.
A disgruntled former employee of an upstate hospital was pulled over by police near the facility Tuesday morning with a loaded shotgun in what local authorities said "could have ended in a mass casualty situation."
Vincent Abrams was arrested last week in connection with the death of Melissa Myers, who was stabbed to death in her apartment during the early morning hours of June 4.
