Hoping to shorten that time line, the u. S. Government has given emergency approval for the antiviral drug remdesivir which has shown some promise in Clinical Trials for treating severely ill patients. So far, Johns Hopkins university has tracked 1. 1 million cases among americans and more than 65,000 deaths in this country. Yet, even as numbers soar, a huge portion of the country is relaxing stayathome restrictions and reopening some businesses. Experts fear, though, it is much too early. The u. S.
