The Rwanda Taekwondo Federation hosted this year's edition of the
Ambassador's Tournament. The event, backed and sponsored by the South
Korean Embassy, took place across a single day in capital city Kigali.

in place for the competition to start in four days in Rwanda.
Jeong Ji-Man has been appointed as the new head coach of Rwanda's
national taekwondo team. The South Korean, a former national team
athlete, previously coached in Rwanda between 2015 and 2016 as a
volunteer.
Rwanda has launched a bid to host the 2022 African Taekwondo
Championships. David Hakizimana, the President of the Rwanda Taekwondo
Federation, confirmed the application to The New Times.
Uwayo elected Rwanda National Olympic and Sports Committee President
The election was required following the resignation of Valens Munyabagisha last month.
National Federations had called for a replacement to be elected sooner than the initial proposed election date of October 8, with the organisation opting to bring forward the date.
Uwayo, who has led the Rwanda Karate Federation for the past 12 years, was the sole candidate for the RNOSC Presidency.
He received all 56 votes on offer to secure a four-year term in office.
Uwayo was earlier this week awarded The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Ray from the Japanese Emperor.
