Above moderate housing. I have no fantasy there will be Affordable Housing here that in this location with these neighbors with this kind of view that this could ever happen, but its very difficult to find the logic behind feeling that this is necessary. I think that mr. Stewart raised the notion of property taxes, if its up to 200,000 a year, every year of Affordable Housing cost 300500 Affordable Housing, all the property tax go into general fund and a small percentage. I think thats a largest barrier for me to support the project. Some thoughts and positives and negatives about the project. I watched the video and i think the design is much better in the back. Somebody said they didnt want a wall on the hill. I appreciate that you did something on that. It actually looks better from afar. There is a house on my street at the very top that you come off from the 101 it clearly dominates anything and anything to do to soften that which is iconic is a good thing. I like that reading is
Firefighter in San Francisco but more importantly hes the grandson of victor who managed the development of the murals on the coit tower so welcome pete thank you pete clapping all right. Moving right long we have a distinguished guest arriving sometime soon so rather than buy time i may introduce the next speaker on the program thats i want you to recall it was the board of supervisors who decided to appropriate this money that lilly left to do the right thing in San Francisco and that altercation keeps going with the president of our board of supervisors david chiu clapping. good morning, everyone. The sun is shining on Telegraph Hill i want to thank you for being part of this wonderful, wonderful event and let me start by saying i think for every person here we all have our personal contentions with Telegraph Hill my coit tower 22 years ago i visited San Francisco and climbed up the stairs and looked at the bay and moved to the city a few years ago 18 years ago every sunday i ran up
An agreement in that area or conditional approval that they use their best efforts to work with dpw on such an agreement. It definitely seems the project sponsor has committed to doing that and that could be on the record and your findings, but ultimately dpw would need to approve that. Thank you. I appreciate the comments, i appreciate the design changes. I think there have been improvements made since the last hearing and i think its important to get this all in the record. Im challenges about the mere fact that this is a cu and necessary and desirable. The most recent housing pipeline, we are at 197 percent of our allocation above moderate housing. Traffic problems more than the three 3 units. There was a lot of support, there is 50 letters of support, and i like the things they did. I like the fact that there are separation in the three distinct units, there is a design that they can be a little bit more contrasting but they are unique units and Single Family homes which there is a scarcity in san francisco. I know there is construction on brotherhood after a 12 year fight and they are building them now. I dont know of any other isolated homes. I think its going to be four additional units. And i understand the access is when you couple the proposed opening with the existing space on the other side of the Property Line i think you have four feet 4 feet from the first unit and three feet 3 feet from the next two and i understand the view corridor is about 8. 5 feet. That makes for a good view corridor and some for location at the top which is okay for those going up the steps by foot and stopping to look, but for someone who is c
In this particular area. There is something down there the water cant get passed and it backs up into our cellar. I would also to reinforce the transit issue. You cant believe the problems wei weve had. We built a large fence as high and we actually watch people jump over the fence. It is very very high and we still put the bars close enough but somehow they do, its become a big problem. While we are happy to see that the latest plans are to restore the cottages to the original plan. They required this action in the event the cottage was demolished. The structure does not remain. It deities from deviates from the original plan. Where as the placement on both of the original structure and the plans approved for the variance do not compromise. Let us not forget the longterm consequences of the current overall project design. Not only will significant views be lost, views of the park surrounding the tower will also be lost forever. From the high rise buildings in the financial district. T
