After a 12th-place finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate to open the season, the Kansas Men’s Golf team will tee it up on Sunday at Windsong Farm Golf Club for the Gopher Invitational.

Animal complaint. A deputy observed an injured dog on the roadside in the 16000 block of Jeffrey Avenue and returned it to its owner. The owner was aware of the injury and had taken the dog to the vet.

Suspicious activity. An officer responded to a report of a person possibly stealing golf clubs at Pioneer Creek Golf Course, 705 Copeland Rd. The officer determined it was a person delivering water softener salt.

Child found. An officer was flagged down by a woman who had found a 3-year-old girl near Sunset Drive and Riverside Lane. A short time later, the girl s mother reported her missing. The mother did not know her child had left. The girl was safely returned home.
