North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the two suspects, aged 41 and 34, were arrested during an operation dubbed Ops Pintas that was conducted at 8.55pm. During the raid, we also rescued ten foreign women who we believe are victims of human trafficking, he said in a statement Saturday (June 5).
ACP Noorzainy said the victims, aged from 31 to 36, were from Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.
He said initial investigations found that the suspects were part of a human trafficking syndicate that has been active for the past year and was using hotels as transit points to move the victims.
