Sedco to take lead in flood mitigation efforts in Beaufort, Sabah

Kota Kinabalu: A total of 1,765 people from 567 families in four districts are now housed at 10 temporary relief centres (PPS) following floods due to heavy rains since Sunday. The Sabah State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, in a statement, said 976 victims from 300 families in Kudat took refuge at three PPS which were opened Monday, as of Tuesday at 4pm. The PPS were at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tun Dato Hj Mustapha (90 people from 14 families), Rest House Lama Karakit (15 people from three families) and SK Sikuati (871 people from 283 families).
