Full-backs Moritz Volz and David Wright are injury concerns ahead of Saturday s live Sky game against Crystal Palace at Portman Road (KO 5.20pm). Wright has a calf problem, while Volz has a tight hamstring.
Town have revealed that full-back Ben Thatcher will be out of action for around six weeks after tearing a thigh muscle in last night s 4-1 Carling Cup defeat to Wigan. Thatcher was making his return from a dead leg which saw him miss the previous three matches.
Town s Carling Cup run came to an end as Wigan left Portman Road with a 4-1 victory. The result flattered the visitors with all the goals coming in the second half, Lee Cattermole opened the scoring and Jon Walters equalising before Olivier Kapo, Paul Scharner and Henri Camara won the tie.
Boss Jim Magilton was pleased with his side s display for the first hour of Wednesday s 4-1 Carling Cup defeat to Wigan, but was disappointed that the Blues failed to take their chances and gave away poor goals.
