Defender Pim Balkestein will miss his loan club Brentford s final game of the season against Hartlepool after undergoing surgery on the nose injury he sustained
On-loan defender Pim Balkestein was stretchered off after being treated on the pitch for 10 minutes as Brentford lost 3-2 to Swindon at the County Ground. The Dutchman was taken off wearing a neckbrace while oxygen and spinal boards were brought on to the field after a mid-air collision with Robins striker Charlie Austin.
TWTD understands that Richard Wright and David Wright have been told that their Town contracts will not be renewed when they expire at the end of the season. Defender Pim Balkestein can also leave the club during the summer, while Jon Stead and loanee Liam Rosenior have been told they are not in Roy Keane’s plans for next season.
