You can see the temperatures running in the upper 20s in falmouth. Just 25 on the vineyard. 30 in hyannis. This is enough to kill some vegetation out this way where we havent had these cold readings before. Thats why the freeze warning is up. Boston 41h. Worcester 38. Not everybody is seeing the rain today but we do have a window of opportunity through 10 00 this morning of seeing some showers. That rain is inching closer to you on the south coast, the cape, the islands. Embedded downpours where youre seeing the yellows and the oranges and even a few lightning strikes here. Just the eastern tip here of long island. All of this is lifting north ward. In the next half hea our or so, we may start to see a few rain drops here on the vineyard and also nantucket. From there its going to continue to lift on north ward. Rain is moving in this morning. Look at these temperatures. 60 around plymouth. Lower 60s on the cape. Elsewhere mainly in the 50s. That is joaquin there. A good 500 miles or so southeast of nantucket this morning and moving away. High pressure now settling so it is is setting us up for a nice day. Along with cindy fets faiths. This morning 32 degrees. Cindy after the feel of summer last week, you knew that wasnt going to last. It will after a chilly start turn into a pretty nice afternoon overall. Layers. Youre going to want to shed them layer. Look at worcester at 37 and north of there, 20s from orange to bedford to nashua now down to 28 degrees. South of town some 20s showing up as well. 24 norwood. 28 taunton. We do have some 30s on the cape. Even the mid to outer cape this morning. Chatham at 38 degrees so it is a cold start. Skies though are clear. Weve got a big area of High Pressure. It will protect us today. Sunshine basically from start to finish. But down the coast, you can see there is some rain. It will be moving in our direction for tomorrow. So today is a dry day. It will be the pick of the week weatherwise. Well hold in the 40s through 9 00 this morning and then jump into the 50s as those winds turn to the southwest. Looking for highs in the upper 50s on cape cod.
