Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): A day-long cooperative awareness programme, sponsored by the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), New Delhi, and organised by the Cooperative Training Centre, Medziphema, was held on November 5 at Tuli town hall under Mokokchung district. An update informed that around 180 farmers and entrepreneurs from in and around Tuli attended the programme with the deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, as the guest of honour. The DC, in his address, exhorted the gathering to take maximum advantage of the awareness programme. Singh opined that Naga society is well suited to cooperative form of business organisation as the democratic principles like discussion, deliberation and community participation in decision making are inherent to Naga community.
