Spring Festival. For the first day of Tippet Rise’s Spring Festival, two films have been captured at the DiMenna Center. The first features violinist Katie Hyun founding member of the Amphion String Quartet performing Vytautas Barkauskas’s Partita for violin solo. For the second film, Tippet Rise’s Artistic Advisor Pedja Mužijevic performs in a program titled
Is It Real (A Loving Homage to Surrealism), which includes music and spoken word by Satie, Schwitters, and Antheil. At 7:30 pm ET there will be a “backstage” gathering via Zoom, giving artists the opportunity to discuss their performances, followed by the release of the films. View here.

Casa da Música will continue its online programming in March, with various types of concerts
On Wednesdays at 9pm the “Out of Series” concerts will be broadcast, on Sundays at 11am the educational service shows, on Sundays the “Concertos da Casa” and on the last Saturday of the month at 4pm , an organ recital, broadcast live. On Wednesday, a show by choreographer Rui Horta is broadcast, with pianist Rolf Hind playing “Sonatas and Interludes”, by John Cage, and dancer Silvia Bertoncelli also on stage. On the 7th, the Porto Symphony Orchestra concert, directed by Joseph Swensen, is shown, with a program composed of two works by Mozart: the Masonic Funeral and Symphony No. 35 in D major.
