VIETNAM NEWS JANUARY 1  01/01/2021    08:32 GMT+7 HCM City approved for one more place for New Year firework display HCM City has been allowed to organise firework displays at one more location on New Year’s Eve. The additional location is Saigon Hi-tech Park in District 9, which is aimed to mark the establishment of Thu Duc City. The city, which is the merger of districts 2, 9 and Thu Duc, will officially come into existence on March 1.  The low-range fireworks will be held at the park. HCM City was earlier permitted to organise high-range firework displays at the entrance of Thu Thiem Tunnel in District 2 and at the 81-floor Landmark 81, Vietnam s tallest building on New Year’s Eve.
