The annual Mobile Photography Awards (MPA) organizers have announced the winners and runners-up of their 10th annual competition. MPA is the longest-running international competition that recognizes and rewards photography captured on mobile phones or tablets.

Man who captured stunning Offaly shot named country s top press photographer Reporter: ); Ballycommon resident James Crombie has been named the ‘Press Photographer of the Year’ for 2021. The annual awards of the Press Photographers Association of Ireland, were announced on Friday evening during a specially directed live stream awards ceremony presented by broadcaster Miriam O’Callaghan alongside Crispin Rodwell, President of the Press Photographers Association of Ireland, which saw photographers from all four corners of the island of Ireland recognised for excellence in press photography. The ‘Press Photographer of the Year’ 2021 title was awarded to James Crombie of Inpho Photography, whose portfolio the judges cited as “A marriage of superb features work, creative portrait work and solid sports photography.”

Balla photographer honoured for two photos at the 2021 PPAI Published: Monday, 01 March 2021 14:57 Multi award winning Mayo photographer Keith Heneghan,  who works as a freelancer and is based in Balla was runner up in two categories at the 2021 Press Photographer of the Year Awards at the weekend. His award winning photos were entitled Mayo House Fire and Lockdown Triathlon. The House fire was an image of a family home that went on fire at Bridgemount House, near Ballinafad, Castlebar last year – with a horse in the front garden. The Lockdown triathlon photo captured Stephen Donnelly, a Ballina man, who completed a triathlon in a pool at the back of his house for charity during lockdown.

Guests revealed for tonight s RTE Late Late Show Reporter: ); The guests have been revealed for this Friday s Late Late Show on RTÉ One. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, Eurovision legends Linda Martin, Niamh Kavanagh, Charlie McGettigan, Paul Harrington and 2021 hopeful Lesley Roy, and Irish Paralympian athletes are among the guests. Hollywood star of new series Your Honor, Bryan Cranston, will join Ryan to speak about his Golden Globe nomination, the differences between great TV and film making, and his greatest roles to date. Her Eurovision hopes were dashed with the cancellation of last year s show, but Dubliner Lesley Roy is ready to finish what she started and will give her debut performance of Ireland s 2021 Eurovision entry, Maps.
