As you step outside right now its still a little on the mild side. Temperatures are dropping in a hurry this morning, though. You see clouds down to the south. There are showers. Those are clearing Cape May County and southern delaware pretty quickly. Out to the west the additional clouds you see will probably largely fall apart. Still sitting at 48 degrees in philadelphia but notice that wind out of the northwest knocking down those temperatures in the northern and western suburbs. And this number is not indicative of today at all as we are going to be down close to the freezing mark over the next couple hours and then only bouncing back into the upper 30s. Western suburbs are starting to dip. The poconos down to 29. Closer to the 30s in red and allentown. Thats because winds out of the northwest are picking up. You can see theyre up to 15 miles an hour in allentown and even in philadelphia beginning to build and the winds are actually going to be in the 20s gusting as high as 40 today and those that direction coming down from the cool chilly northwest. That is going to draw colder air in and we actually expect a drop from the current temperature in the mid to upper 40s all the way down to about 34 by 7 oclock. So, if you step outside early and you think thats going to be a mild day, dont be fooled. Most of the day is going to be windy and very cold. Lots of sunshine today. But inching our way up to 39 degrees for a high at 3 oclock and back down below freezing by about dinnertime so, definitely changes on the way as soon as the next couple of hours.
