District attorney is this williams is expected to be arraigned here at federal court this afternoon, his defense Attorney Says it will vigorously defend these charges. The 23 count indictment alleges District AttorneySeth Williams sought thousands of dollars in bribes. And in exchange federal Authorities Say he would trade his influence as the citys top prosecutor. It is a violation of federal law to corruptly solicit bribes and just make yourself available to take official action in exchange for those gifts and that thats essentially the heart of what the indime alleges. According to the indictment williams solicited a long list of goods and services from two unnamed Philadelphia Business owners including fro trips to punta qana, a custom sofa checks and cash and even a used jaguar convertible. Total value roughly 110,000. Its distressing to imagine a Public Servant tasked with enforcing the law who could put quid pro quo ahead of justice for all. Reporter investigators cited an exchange of Text Messages in which business own or number one wanted a lighter sentence for a friend who didnt want ton serve jail time. Officials say in return williams requested a vacation by saying the following. I am merely a thankful beggar and dont want to overstep my bounds in asking but will gladly go. The suspected drunk driver and the driver of the suv are both in the hospital. Theres some strange circumstances surrounding a deadly shooting in south jersey. The victim was found gunned down next to a car stopped in the middle of the street. We are working to find out what police know about this victim and about any possible suspects. Court documents say the boy was changing for gym class in a locker room when he saw a student wearing only shorts and a bra. That student had recently begun transitioning from female to male. The lawsuit claims the schools transgender friendly policy constitutes Sexual Harassment and a violation of personal privacy. The the boyertown district has declined to comment on the case. The mother of the High School Freshman in chicago says she started getting calls on monday morning a day after her daughter went to the store and never came home. A baby girl from africa is recovering from an incredible and risky surgery at a chicago area hospital. 10 month old dominique was born in the ivory coast with a not fully developed conjoined twin so she was born with two extra legs an second spine all of which were protruding from her back. Doctors performed surgery on march eight to remove all of that. This was extremely dangerous for dominique, dangerous for a couple reasons. One is dominiques heart and lung had to do the job of providing for two people almost. Her foster mother says she learned about dominique on social media and knew instantly she wanted to help. Wilmington has indefinitely suspended its Red Light Camera Program for its right turns on red. The city will refund any drivers given a ticket for that between july 1st and january 11th. Mayor Mike Purzycki explained the Red Light Camera Program does not meet new and stricter state requirements. To make up for the cost of the refunds the mayor is recommending a property tax hike and eliminatinbs. Manayunk wants to make parking easier and cheaper for you. In april 4 off Street Parking lots owned by the Parkway Corporation will get new user friendly parking equipment at cheaper rates. The Venice Island and levering street lot will cost two dollars.
