DIMAPUR Phek Government College and Pfutsero Government College organised their respective 40th annual parting social on May 5. At Phek Government College, the function was held in the college auditorium with the deputy commissioner of Phek, Kumar Ramnikant, as the guest of honour, an update stated. The guest of honour, in his address, conveyed his best wishes to the outgoing students and encouraged them on four main key points: to never stop believing and to have confidence to face any challenges as failure; to never stop learning and to have consistency in learning; to build a good network in order to reach the destiny and, lastly, to become an entrepreneur and to not depend on government jobs alone. Earlier, the programme commenced with an invocation by Zomunulu Vese and a welcome address delivered by the college’s principal, Dr. T Tiakaba Jamir. A one-day faculty exchange programme was organized between Phek Government College and Pfutsero Government College on April 4, in fulfillment of an MoU signed between the two institutions.
Our Reporter Dimapur, Oct. 21 (EMN): Lihyeih T Konyak of Mount Mary College, Chümoukedima was crowned Miss ANCSU 2022, while Pouthailu Gonmei of Dimapur Government College and Imjungwatila Longkumer of Pranabananda Women’s College Dimapur were adjudged the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively on October 20. The valedictory function-cum-Miss ANCSU contest was part of the ANCSU Collegiate Meet 2022 on the theme “Metamorphosis” from October 17 to the 21st at Dimapur Government College. In the sub-title category, Miss Best Ramp Walk was secured by Konyak, Miss Congeniality to Longkumer and Best Ethnic Wear to Linokali Achumi of Patkai Christian College, which was hosted by Miss Phek 2019, Shefüvi Pfithu. Speaking on the fourth day of ANCSU collegiate meet as valedictory guest, first class contractor and president of Nagaland Solar Contractors Union, Kyupise Sangtam said that it’s peaceful and satisfying to be surrounded by the leaders of tomorrow and witnessin
